I hold a B.A. in Philosophy and Economics from Mannheim University and a M.A. in Philosophy from Tübingen University. My main interests are in Mind & Morality, especially Action, Control & Moral Psychology. Recently, this lead me to focus my research around the topics of effort, difficulty and demandingness. I like to work at the intersection of Philosophy with Cognitive Science and Economics.
I am a passionate teacher, and seek to teach often. My teaching tries to equip students to make progress on aligning their values and everyday life. It often takes a pragmatic bent and encourages students to be a driving force in the classroom.
Outside of the academy, I fundraise for global health charities and organize the annual Philosophers Against Malaria event.
