Frederick Choo is a PhD student in philosophy at Rutgers University. He completed his MA and BA at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, where he is from. His main research areas are in ethics and philosophy of religion, and he has published multiple academic papers in these fields. He also has side interests in Chinese philosophy, epistemology, and experimental philosophy. Currently, his main research project is on well-being, and is in particular thinking about issues related to desire satisfactionism.
Outside of philosophy, Frederick finds joy in making his own music, especially through playing percussive fingerstyle acoustic guitar and singing.
