Tish Duncan is an associate professor of religion at Texas Christian University, specializing in early Christianity and the reception history of the Bible.

Tish Duncan grew up on a farm in northern Missouri and first fell in love with the academic study of religion at the University of Missouri.  After a stint with the Catholic Charities Volunteer Corps in St. Paul, Minnesota, she went to the Divinity School of the University of Chicago for an MDiv and a PhD in biblical studies. Fortune then took her to Texas Christian University, where she happily serves as an associate professor of religion, and where she found her true calling as a teacher. Her current research focuses on the theological writings of the early twentieth-century poet and social activist Eva Gore-Booth, and in her free time, she enjoys reading, gardening, bouldering, distance running, and spending quality time with her two teenage daughters.
