Nona is a fourth-year PhD student in Counseling Psychology at the University of Miami. She is a mental health clinician, academic researcher, and teacher.
Nona is a fourth-year PhD student in Counseling Psychology at the University of Miami. Nona Kiknadze received a BA in Psychology and a BA in Asian and Middle Eastern Studies with a focus in Chinese language from Duke University. Her research involves theoretical and empirical investigations of the relationship between cultural variation and flourishing. Her work spans several disciplines and integrates philosophy, education, and psychology. She currently works as a clinician conducting group therapy and individual psychotherapy for adolescents and adults. In addition to her academic and clinical scholarship, she is a contemplative practitioner and registered yoga teacher and has been teaching contemplative classes for several years. In her free time, Nona also loves to write poetry, dance, and spend time in nature.
