Max DuBoff is completing a PhD in Classics and Philosophy at Yale University, writing a dissertation on the structure of ancient Epicurean ethics.
Max DuBoff is completing a PhD in Classics and Philosophy at Yale University, writing a dissertation on the goal of life, pleasure, and practical reasoning in ancient Epicurean ethics. Max's other research on Epicureanism focuses on fear of death and sexuality. Outside of Greco-Roman philosophy, Max's research interests include reproductive ethics, feminist philosophy, and religious bioethics. Max is passionate about inclusive pedagogy and philosophy as a way of life. Max is the Director of Education for Bruchim, a Jewish nonprofit supporting those who opt out of circumcision, and Max is assistant host of the Bruchim Podcast. Before starting at Yale, Max received a BA in Classics and Philosophy from Rutgers University - New Brunswick.
