Jeff Frank is a professor of education at St. Lawrence University.

Jeff Frank is a professor of education at St. Lawrence University. He is the faculty director of Commission on Laurentian Values and Building Resilient Community, and he was the inaugural director of St. Lawrence’s Center for Innovation in Teaching and Assessment. He received his PhD in philosophy and education from Teachers College, Columbia University. He has published widely in the field of philosophy of education including two books. The first, Teaching in the Now, focuses on John Dewey’s philosophy of education. The second, Being a Presence for Students, which argues that one of the strongest defenses of liberal education is the quality of teaching students experience at liberal arts colleges. Presently, he is working on how to promote character education on college campuses.
