Ian Norris is Director of the Entrepreneurship for the Public Good (EPG) program at Berea College, where he holds appointments in both Marketing and Psychology.

Ian Norris is Director of the Entrepreneurship for the Public Good (EPG) program at Berea College, where he serves as the William and Kay Moore Professor and holds appointments in both Marketing and Psychology. EPG trains students in the entrepreneurial mindset and is designed to teach students how to utilize entrepreneurial thinking and action to solve real-world problems in central Appalachia and beyond. Ian is passionate about social entrepreneurship and the application of social psychology, marketing, and design thinking to community economic development, poverty reduction, sustainability, the arts, and human well-being. With dual training in both Business and Psychology, he has taught a range of courses from Biological Psychology to International Business and everything in between, with a specific emphasis on Consumer Behavior and Positive Psychology. He is excited to develop a general studies course based on an intersection of the Life Worth Living with the Stanford d.school Design Your Life curriculum. Ian received his PhD in Social Psychology from Texas Tech University and also holds an MBA. His research has been published in journals such as Academy of Management Review and Journal of the Association for Consumer Research.
