Management professor at Doane University exploring how AI and emerging technologies can serve human growth and well-being and strengthen rather than replace human connections.

Committed to helping people thrive amid rapid technological change, Charlena Miller creates engaging learning experiences where students, educators, and organizations discover how AI and emerging technologies can strengthen human connections and development. As a management professor at Doane University, she weaves together her interdisciplinary background in strategy, leadership, spiritual formation, and AI to develop teaching approaches that enhance relationships and work.

Through her research and teaching, she designs innovative learning environments where students tackle real-world projects while discovering their unique strengths. Her work examines how technology can transform teaching, learning, and organizational growth with a focus on fostering both individual growth and collaborative potential. She seeks to demystify emerging technologies, helping students, educators, and organizational leaders see these as tools for connection and growth rather than human replacement.

As a member of a higher education AI Leadership Council, Miller collaborates with colleagues to champion ethical, thoughtful, human-centered technology adoption. Her work bridges technological innovation and human potential, demonstrating how thoughtful technological approaches can create more adaptive, empowered, and interconnected professional ecosystems.
