Course Description
Issues of death, dying, loss, and grief impact lives on a regular basis. This proposed course will provide undergraduate students with foundational end of life principles and an overview of current conceptualizations of grief and mourning. Interventions will be presented for supporting the dying, as well as individuals going through bereavement. Throughout the course, students will be encouraged to explore their own grief reactions and address barriers they identify when confronted with situations where they are “no good words.”
