Regina Hurley is an academic aspiring to live her way into some answers.

Regina Hurley is an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at the University at Buffalo working at the crossroads of epistemology, artificial intelligence, and applied ontology. Her current research studies the norms of inquiry and the ways artificial intelligence reshapes our questions, our attention, and our intellectual agency. Alongside this traditional philosophical work, she develops biomedical ontologies that determine how medical knowledge is structured, shared, and integrated in practice. For her, epistemology is not just abstract: the way we organize knowledge shapes care, visibility, and justice. All in all, her work is an effort to determine how our questions and our knowledge systems can better serve human flourishing.
