Venturing the Good Life: Systems, Desires and Flourishing
Fundação Getulio Vargas
Course Description:
This course challenges students to view entrepreneurship not just as building enterprises but as crafting the ultimate venture: their life. Integrating three interdependent lenses, Social Systems Theory (Niklas Luhmann), ethical inquiry into the Good Life (Miroslav Volf et al., Life Worth Living), and Psychoanalysis (Jacques Lacan), the course invites participants to move from unreflective habits (‘pilot automaticity’), through big questions of live to reflect deeply on what matters most, exploring how personal values, inner aspirations, and social contexts interact to shape life trajectories.
