Introduction to 1804 Scholars: An Inquiry into Wellbeing and a Flourishing Life

Ohio University

Course Description:

HC 2400 is the introductory seminar for 1804 Scholars at Ohio University. The 1804 Scholars curriculum prioritizes the intersection of holistic wellbeing, community connection, and wisdom—worldly, scholarly, and personal. At the center of each of these domains lies the question, what does it mean to live a good life? To situate these priorities, HC 2400 introduces students to existential inquiry, grounded in lived experiences, while also illuminating the related concepts of community, connection, and curiosity.
